5. SpeedoX MyRide Application
SpeedoX MyRide provides functions that may include:
digital motorcycle dashboard functions;
real-time speed information;
maps and navigation;
offline maps;
GPX file import;
digital roadbook functions;
vehicle information obtained through compatible OBD2 devices;
tyre-pressure information obtained through compatible TPMS sensors;

configuration and firmware updates.
5.1 Location data
When you activate functions that require location information, SpeedoX MyRide may request permission to access your device’s approximate or precise location.
Location information may be required for:
maps and navigation;
displaying speed derived from location services;
positioning the user on a map;
following a route or GPX track;
roadbook and travel-related functions;
searching for or connecting to nearby Bluetooth devices where required by the Android operating system.
Location permission is optional. However, functions that depend on location may not work if permission is refused or disabled.
You can enable, restrict or disable location access through your device settings.
SpeedoX does not use location data for behavioural advertising and does not sell location data. Where a third-party map or navigation service is used, location information may be transmitted directly to that provider to supply the requested function. That provider processes the information under its own privacy terms.
5.2 Motorcycle and device data
When the application is connected to a compatible SpeedoX, OBD2 or TPMS device, it may process information such as:
motorcycle speed;

5.3 GPX files, routes and application settings
GPX files, routes, maps, roadbook files and application preferences selected or created by the user may be stored locally on the user’s device.
SpeedoX does not access these locally stored files unless the user voluntarily sends them to SpeedoX, for example when requesting technical assistance.
You can remove locally stored information by deleting it within the application, clearing the application’s storage or uninstalling the application.
5.4 Bluetooth and nearby-device permissions
SpeedoX MyRide may request Bluetooth or nearby-device permissions to:
discover compatible products;
connect to SpeedoX devices;
communicate with OBD2 adapters;
communicate with TPMS sensors;
configure compatible products;
perform firmware updates.
These permissions are used to provide the functions selected by the user and not to track nearby persons.
6. SpeedoX Connect Application
SpeedoX Connect is an application for compatible Apple devices used exclusively to configure, manage and update compatible SpeedoX hardware products.
The application may provide the following functions:

This permission is necessary to discover and connect to compatible SpeedoX products. If permission is refused or disabled, the application will not be able to communicate with the product.
Bluetooth access is used only to configure and update compatible SpeedoX hardware. It is not used to track nearby persons or collect information about unrelated devices.

the product model or type;
product identifiers required for the connection;
the installed firmware version;
device configuration settings;
odometer values;
maintenance values and dates;
configured TPMS sensor addresses;
date and time information sent by the user’s Apple device;
firmware-update status and technical error information.
This information is exchanged locally between the application and the connected SpeedoX product.

6.3 Firmware updates and internet access
SpeedoX Connect uses an internet connection when it checks for available firmware and downloads a firmware-update file.
The application may communicate with SpeedoX’s firmware-distribution infrastructure to:
identify the appropriate firmware version;
verify whether an update is available;
download the firmware file;
complete or diagnose the update process.
During these network communications, standard technical information such as the IP address, request date and time, application version and requested firmware file may be processed temporarily by the server or hosting provider for delivery, security and troubleshooting purposes.
This technical information is not used to create a user profile, track the user for advertising purposes or identify the motorcycle owner.

Some providers act as data processors on behalf of SpeedoX. Other providers, including payment processors, customs authorities, application stores and certain mapping services, may act as independent data controllers under their own privacy policies.
9. International Data Transfers
Some service providers may process personal data outside Italy or outside the European Economic Area.
Where personal data is transferred to a country outside the European Economic Area, SpeedoX relies, as applicable, on:
a European Commission adequacy decision;
Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission;
another transfer mechanism permitted under the GDPR;
a specific derogation allowed by law where strictly necessary.

At the end of the applicable period, personal data is deleted or anonymised where reasonably possible.

SpeedoX does not retain a server-side copy of the product configuration.

maintain user preferences;
provide embedded content;
measure website traffic;
prevent abuse.
Strictly necessary cookies may be used without consent where permitted by law.

Where available, you can manage your choices through the website’s cookie controls. You can also restrict or delete cookies using your browser settings.
Embedded content, including YouTube videos or social-media links, may allow the relevant third party to receive technical information when the content is loaded or selected.

Payment providers may use automated systems to detect fraud or assess payment security. Those activities are governed by the relevant provider’s privacy policy.
